"Real hopeful over van removal
Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon remains confident Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy will arrive at the Bernabeu this summer.


Madrid had hoped to present their first summer signing in van Nistelrooy on Tuesday but their reported £10million bid was rejected by United.
"We have to wait with regards to van Nistelrooy," Calderon said.
"From what (club sporting director) Pedja Mijatovic has told me, the player wants to come to Real Madrid.
"It's normal that Manchester United want to make as much money as possible from the transfer."
Calderon, who was appointed earlier this month as the club's new president, has yet to make a summer signing.
However, he has sent a positive message to the Madrid fans.
"Next week we will unveil four new players," said Calderon.
Madrid are currently trying to tie up the signing of Juve trio Fabio Cannavaro, Gianluca Zambrotta and Emerson, but whether van Nistelrooy will be the club's fourth addition remains to be seen. "
